Periodic cleaning programmes are introduced to clean areas which may not require a frequent clean or perhaps the area needs to be empty of people, furniture, the production line is suspended or for those very hard to reach areas where additional equipment may be needed. Nevertheless, it is important that these areas are maintained – hence our Periodic Programmes.
Depending on the skills required, they can be carried out by our cleaning operatives or by our specialised maintenance team. The frequency is also dictated by the specification and can be on a monthly, bi monthly, quarterly, six monthly basis, in fact any interval your business needs the service.
At AYS we build periodic programmes into the cleaning contract, which not only spreads the costs but allows us to diarise and plan in advance. Our cleaning operatives will also communicate with us if they notice a build-up of dirt or grease, or perhaps a spillage which needs addressing by our maintenance team.
This type of cleaning will include hard floor buffing, sealing of hard floors, carpet cleaning and protection, washing walls, door facings, lights, upholstered furniture, high level cleans.

Reactive cleans are available to AYS clients and also to non-clients. As much as we all need to plan, we cannot always allow for every circumstance, so we also provide reactive cleans for emergency situations or one off requirements to clients and non-clients.
Washrooms
When your washrooms are cleaned regularly the specification will include floors, toilets, urinals, basins, fittings and surrounds. Whilst the regular specification covers the necessary areas and hygiene standards are achieved, there will invariably remain a gradual build-up of scale, deposits and a growth of pathogenic flora and harmful bacteria either in the hard to clean areas or which the standard products cannot 100% remove.
A Washroom Maintenance Programme by AYS will protect any possible build-up of bacteria by introducing more effective santising solutions and applications to the regularly cleaned areas plus the walls. tiles, grout, partitions, ceiling, vents and the hard to get to places. Where possible to use, steam cleaning has the ability to loosen stubborn dirt and bacteria. This service will ensure the area is left hygienically stain, mould and bacteria free.
Washroom fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, and tiles can suffer from wear and tear due to frequent use. Maintenance cleaning helps remove mineral deposits, soap scum, and other residues that can corrode and damage these fixtures over time. Regular maintenance extends the life of your washroom fixtures, reducing the need for costly repairs and replacements.
