Routine cleaning is carried out within our contract cleaning services.
- Regular vacuuming removes dirt, dust and debris that can accumulate and damage carpet fibres.
- Spot cleaning prompts the removal of spills and stains to prevent permanent damage and keep carpets looking pristine.
- Interim light cleaning addresses surface level dirt and helps to maintain the appearance between deep cleanings.

Incorporating periodic deep cleans into your service package not only helps to spread the cost but removes the angst of an unhealthy carpet. Alternatively, we can supply the service on an ad hoc basis as and when required. However, to offer some protection against deterioration, we recommend that this should be carried out at least annually (the level of footfall will bear an impact on this).
If the carpet is maintained and cleaned before it becomes too unsightly, the cleaning chore will be easier and more successful. Allowing the carpet to become overly soiled may result in irreversible damage. It is a common myth that cleaning the carpet before it is absolutely necessary will cause it to get dirty faster. This goes back to the days when the shampoo methods were the most common.
Methods
At AYS we offer 2 different methods of carpet cleaning to suit individual circumstances, these are Extraction and Texatherm. The most suitable method for your needs will be discussed during our consultation and survey.
The products we use in the steam extraction process are based on new technology formulations that perform as other high end products do and are finder to the environment. This is something we are passionate to action at AYS.
In our effort to support a quality sustainable environment the products we use are free of dyes, synthetic fragrances, EDTA and NTA and contain only ingredients considered safe for the environment. The containers are made from recyclable natural polyethylene and outer cartons use recycled fibreboard.
They are WoolSafe i.e.approved for the maintenance of wool carpets and rugs.
Steam Extraction
This process is deemed to be the most effective way to clean carpets and upholstery. It’s an uncomplicated approach that uses a fine, high pressure mist of clean water into pre-treated carpets and upholstery. The system flushes out the dirt through the use of a powerful vacuum system, leaving the item clean and most importantly free of soilage and residue.
If the area is heavily soiled, including grease, a pre-spotter treatment, for tea, coffee, food, blood, urine etc, or a highly effective degreaser pre-spray for greasy soilage or draft marks is applied. Gum, oil and tar don’t escape either!
Finishing products such as Bactericidal deoderisers, to kill bacteria and freshen and, pH neutralising finishing sprays to balance pH, fix and brighten colours and prevent browning are applied after the extraction.
The Ashby Enforcer delivers a deep, heavy duty clean to practically any professional carpet, upholstery, hard floor tile and grout. With a water pressure of 800 psi, a strong vacuum system and trained techniques the possibility of carpet shrinkage is practically completely removed.
Texatherm
The Textatherm Method is a cutting-edge carpet cleaning technology that combines the principles of textile cleaning with advanced thermal processes. This method is designed to provide deep and thorough cleaning for commercial carpets, ensuring the removal of dirt, stains, and allergens while preserving the integrity of carpet fibres.
The specialised solutions and thermal activation penetrate the carpet fibres, breaking down dirt and stains at a molecular level. The method also incorporates advanced extraction techniques that remove the majority of the moisture from the carpet whilst reducing the risk of damage and extending the life of the carpet.
Textatherm achieves superb results on commercial carpets, especially the low profile carpet tiles. With its 30 minute drying time, eco-friendly cleaning agents and water conservation Textatherm is our first choice of application.
